2. Black History Month Debate at The Delores Taylor Arthur School for Young Men
- Date: Monday, February 26, 10 am
- Location: Loyola University - 6363 St. Charles Avenue, NOLA 70118
- Topic: "Should race-centered topics be taught in U.S. K-12 public schools?"
3. Black History Month Celebration Event
- Date: February 29, 6 pm
- Location: Ashe Cultural Arts Center Powerhouse Theater, 1731 Baronne St., NOLA 70113
- Highlights: Sup Dr. Avis Williams will present her Equity in Action Scholarship Awards.
- This $1000 award aims to recognize and support a deserving scholar in pursuit of their college and/or career plans upon graduating from a NOLA-PS high school. To be considered, interested high school seniors must submit their applications by Friday, February 9, 2024. The application form can be accessed online .
