(New Orleans 鈥� February 22, 2024) 鈥� In a continued commitment to honoring Black History Month, 天博体育 (NOLA-PS), along with The Blairisms, presents a series of engaging events featuring the remarkable talents of scholars from The Delores Taylor Arthur School for Young Men. The month-long celebration will culminate in a closing event hosted by Superintendent Dr. Avis Williams.
EVENT HIGHLIGHTS:
Black History Month Debate at The Delores Taylor Arthur School for Young Men
- Date: Monday, February 26, 10 am
- Location: Loyola University - 6363 St. Charles Avenue, NOLA 70118
- Topic: "Should race-centered topics be taught in U.S. K-12 public schools?"
Black History Month Celebration Event
- Date: February 29, 6 pm
- Location: Ashe Cultural Arts Center Powerhouse Theater, 1731 Baronne St., NOLA 70113
- Highlights: Superintendent Dr. Avis Williams will present her Equity in Action Scholarship Awards.
- This $1000 award aims to recognize and support a deserving scholar in pursuit of their college and/or career plans upon graduating from a NOLA-PS high school.

This final celebration event is FREE and open to the public, and registration is available via this . NOLA-PS cordially invites the community to join in honoring Black history and celebrating the remarkable achievements of our scholars.
